Situating uncertainty in clinical decision making
In the clinical context conditions of uncertainty is an ever-present factor. The inability to
eliminate uncertainty constrains the effectiveness of decision-making. In light of this, it is
important to appreciate the current state of understanding uncertainty and position its role in
decision making more specifically clinical decision making.
